Workshop 3 – Building trust – Thursday, November 23 (7:30 PM – 9:00 PM)

Workshop Jo Boniszewski

How do you thrive in turbulent times?

Fundamental concepts. Practical exercises. Clarity about your next steps.

Three experiential workshops with simple concepts and practical tools to support you in thriving in an era where turbulence and disruption are the norm. Based on her book 'Thrive in turbulent times' and provided by executive leadership coach Jo Boniszewski.

We live and work in turbulent times. Our world is, to put it mildly, unpredictable and restless. The pace of change is breathtaking. We face complex challenges such as the climate crisis, armed conflicts, global viral pandemics and increasing well-being and burnout problems. These have a significant, if not existential, impact on us. And they affect us all, even as individuals.

The only way to face this turbulence is from a state of inner peace, calm and a sense of confidence. From here you can proactively 'collaborate' with everything that comes your way.

Thrive in turbulent times

In this series of three workshops based on the book 'Thrive in turbulent times' published in 2022, you will be introduced to three fundamental themes that will support you in this:

Workshop 1 – Acceptance of what is – Tuesday, September 12 (7:30 PM – 9:00 PM) – (has now taken place).

Workshop 2 – Being present in the moment – Wednesday October 4 (7:30 PM – 9:00 PM) – (has now taken place).

Workshop 3 – Building trust – Thursday, November 23 (7:30 PM – 9:00 PM)

During each workshop you will experience concepts, tools and exercises that will help you to:

– to remain calm and present with 'what is'

– develop confidence in yourself and in your circumstances

– tackle challenges with more clarity and ease

– discover and take your next step(s).

The workshops offer you:

Fundamental concepts

You will be introduced to fundamental concepts and lessons for thriving in turbulence. No long theories, the power is in the simplicity!

Practical exercises

These workshops are very experience-oriented. You will work on your own opportunity or challenge to gain insights about the way forward for you.

Clarity about next steps

The concepts and exercises will enable you to identify your own next steps – who are you being asked to be and what action will you take?

Workshop 3 – Building trust – Thursday, November 23 (7:30 PM – 9:00 PM)

In this Building Trust workshop, we explore two aspects of trust:

  1. Trust in the life process
  2. Trusting in yourself and your ability to deal effectively with life's challenges.

Together, we reflect on beliefs that can support you in building your confidence in life , such as:

In every challenge, no matter how difficult or big, there is always the potential for learning, development and growth. When something 'goes wrong' it tells us that the current conditions are no longer working. The greater the drama, the greater the chance that something new and better can open up – in you and in your situation.

'For a seed to reach its greatest expression, it must first be completely undone. The shell cracks, the inside comes out and everything changes. To someone who doesn't understand growth, it looks like complete destruction.” – Cynthia Occelli, author and entrepreneur.

What if we could trust that situations that seem to collapse, or burst like the seed, are actually breakthrough moments?

And which mindset can help build confidence in yourself and your ability to deal effectively with life's challenges?

What if difficult situations and problems do not happen to us, but happen through us and for us? And yes,… sometimes they just happen to us! But we can trust that they will always offer us the opportunity to learn, develop something new and grow. For example, we may emerge more humble, grateful, flexible, or resilient, not despite but because of our challenges.

In this third interactive Thrive workshop, you will explore through exercises, self-reflection and exchange with other participants:

  • What the theme 'trust' means to you
  • How you feel and experience trust
  • Which can help you to continue building confidence – in both yourself and in life

Will you also participate on Thursday evening, November 23 from 7:30 PM - 9 PM?

Please note, this is NO webinar ; it is a live and interactive Zoom workshop.

This workshop will not be recorded.

Check out the 3 tips below to get the most value out of the session.

  • This workshop will have the most impact and value for you if you have a situation, project or problem that you are currently struggling with or want to gain clarity about. You don't have to talk about your circumstance, so it can be as personal or challenging as you want.
  • Together we create the conditions for an inspiring, rich and impactful experience. Be prepared to keep your camera on, be fully present during the workshop and share your discoveries and insights.
  • You'll get the best experience by participating on a laptop or desktop (instead of a phone or iPad). You connect more easily with other participants, the chat is much easier to read and you often have a more stable connection on a laptop or desktop.
