Our journey started with a deep conviction of the power and importance of omega-3 and a good omega-3 / omega-6 balance.
We have gained this conviction by delving into the many studies that have been done on the health effects of omega-3. Through years of experience working at the highest level in the development, production and marketing of omega-3 oil for medicines and supplements. And through discussion with many experts in the field of healthy fats, cardiology, functional and evolutionary medicine.
Studies, permitted health claims and intake recommendations from regional and national governments support the importance of good omega-3 nutrition as an important part of healthy growing up and aging.
Bringing the best omega-3 in the world to the Netherlands was our dream. Convince the Dutch of the importance of a good daily portion of omega-3. And thus contribute to making our population healthier.

Jo Wyckmans
Jo Wyckmans is the founder and owner of WHC Labs in Belgium and is closely involved with Care by Nature as a scientific advisor.
Jo has been searching for the core of what health is for more than 30 years. And especially the role that nutrition and nutritional supplements play in this. That led to the bestseller in 2002 'Healthy on the inside, beautiful on the outside' , a book that immediately caused a stir in the traditional medical world.
Today, almost fifteen years later, 'nutritional medicine' is much more widely accepted.
Now 74 years old, Jo remains fascinated by obtaining and maintaining good health. He still thoroughly reviews research on healthy nutrition and is in daily contact with his extensive scientific network. This generated so much new knowledge that he completely revised and supplemented his controversial book in 2016.
Jo's main motivation is to transfer his acquired knowledge in the form of written information and the unique high-quality supplements that he has developed over the years. His passion for the importance of highly concentrated omega-3 and his pioneering work to bring this to the attention of the wider public has earned him the nickname “Omega Man”.

Remko Kuipers
Remko is a health coach, cardiologist and researcher.
After almost ten years of research, he obtained his PhD in evolutionary medicine on the subject of nutrition in 2012.
Due to his extensive prior training and his long-term research project, he is better than anyone else aware of the scientific truths and myths that exist surrounding nutrition. During his research he lived for several years among the primitive hunter-gatherers of Africa.
Remko is a bestselling author, known for his books “The Primal Diet” and “Oergezond”
Remko writes blogs and gives webinars for Care by Nature.
Karin Tromop
Karin Tromop leads the Care by Nature team and provides customers with advice and assistance. She completed a university degree in Business Administration at the University of Groningen and trained as an orthomolecular consultant.
A few years ago, Karin came to the conclusion that it was very important to live a healthier life after having a hernia. She notices that she has much more energy and therefore feels much fitter.
This has partly resulted in her launching her own blog ' Kaatjes healthy recipes '. She also completed a course in orthomolecular nutrition and supplementation at the Ortho Health Foundation ( SOHF ), completed a Psychology course at the Open University and in recent years has studied what healthy food can mean for greater happiness in life.
