The changes in diet and lifestyle help you control your blood pressure as much as possible without taking medication. Of course, this does not necessarily mean that medications are not necessary. But by doing so you give yourself the greatest possible chance that medications will be needed less, or only later, or perhaps even not needed at all.
Within our tips we also discuss the importance of omega-3 in more detail:
- Omega-3 helps maintain healthy blood pressure and normal and healthy triglyceride levels in the blood (with a daily intake of at least 3000 or 2000 mg omega-3 fatty acids EPA & DHA)*.
- Omega-3 also supports healthy functioning of the heart, eyes and brain (with a daily intake of at least 250 mg omega-3 fatty acids EPA & DHA)*.
*A maximum of 5000 mg of omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA daily is considered a safe dose
