'Thrive in Turbulent Times. A Handbook for Living' by Jo Boniszewski, leadership coach
With this book you can experience in a very powerful and accessible way how you can adjust your behavior and habits with the help of simple tools, so that you draw strength from these turbulent times.
After a prosperous career as a business manager at Unilever, Jo Boniszewski has built up a thriving executive coaching business over the past 15 years from her practice in Soest. She guides teams or management level, as well as individuals with a career within the corporate world or with their own company. She works in both Dutch and English. In addition to her face-to-face activities, she has an ongoing online program (in English) that you can join at any time. Her book (also in English but, according to her Dutch readers, easy to read) was published in June.

In her practice she discovered that the increasingly complex and turbulent world around us, with increasingly less predictable changes that follow each other at an increasingly rapid pace, demand the utmost from her clients. More and more pressure and stress are experienced and feelings of anxiety are increasing, sometimes even leading to burnout and illness. There is room and need for reflection to deal with the rapidly changing world around us in a new way.
When defining her customers' requests for help, she noticed that about 10 themes keep recurring and form a common denominator that everyone will have to deal with sooner or later. Allowing yourself to be overcome by feelings of fear and powerlessness, allowing yourself to be guided by emotional reactions, seeking out the drama in the situation and allowing yourself to be limited by obstructive thoughts are just a few examples.
Jo lets you experience in a very powerful and accessible way how you can adjust your behavior and habits with the help of simple tools, so that you can draw strength from these turbulent times. Living from confidence and peace, presence and gratitude, listening to what wants to present itself, using your emotions and fear as a source of information, learning to deal with your supportive and obstructive thoughts and using your intuition together with your intellect.
Her easily accessible book is full of practical tools and exercises, including access to recorded audio material such as meditations, and is enriched with very personal experiences. The feedback from its readers is that the book provides immediately applicable support from the first chapter and that the book helps form sustainable new habits that lead to greater happiness in life.
